Cancellations by Snowgoose Mountain Centre

Changes caused by exceptional circumstances

Outdoor activities in Scotland (especially in Scotland) are often reliant on weather in order to proceed safely.

We will not cancel an activity just because it is raining!

In any unforeseen circumstances in the unlikely event that an activity or hire has to be cancelled every effort will be made to contact you by 5pm the evening before the activity- or preferably much earlier.

If Snowgoose Centre has to make the decision to cancel your activity due to weather or other unavoidable operational reasons, weather, government or other outside unavoidable outside circumstances, an alternative date or full refund will be offered.

If we make changes which mean that your booking is radically different a choice will be given between a) agreeing alternative dates with you b) or cancel the booking and agree a refund.

If the law prevents your stay with us or other reasons out with our control, either of us has the right to cancel your stay. We prefer that you defer the booking but will always allow you to cancel if the law allows you the right to do so.

We are not liable or able to accept responsibility for any transport, accommodation or other expenses incurred by you in the event of that cancellation by us. Adequate travel insurance is very strongly recommended to cover the period of your travel and stay with us.

Insurance & Communication

It is strongly recommended that, especially if you are making a booking on behalf of others, that you take out your own or other Cancellation Insurance to cover your period of travel. You may have to pay for a hire, guiding or course holiday, which you cannot take – through no fault of your own.

It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to make all members of your party aware of the notes below. This is particularly relevant if your party is coming long distances, arriving separately or at different times.

The person who completes the Booking Form is responsible for the booking and must be 18 years or older.

Only the people named on the Booking Form may participate in a hire or other activity with us – these are personal bookings and cannot be transferred to another person. Our outdoor activity services are not available to other persons who are not booked with and paid to us.

We do not allow more than the stated number of clients on any course.

Security Deposits

A security deposit of £150 per equipment bundle (e.g. per open canoe, kayak, camp gear bundle hire) is payable against loss, damage or excessive cleaning costs.

This is returned to you on return of all equipment in a clean and undamaged condition.

The security deposit will be retained in the event that any equipment is not returned to us in the condition as you collected it. This will also cover breakages & loss of equipment

Payment of the Security Deposit should be paid preferably in cash per individual hire bundle.

The security despite will be refunded on the safe return of all equipment.

All agreed refunds will be made within 7 days
